Title:
ubiquity crash grub2 in/dev/sda1 sys 64bit uefi efi partition aparted
Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I've tried to install ubuntu 12.10. Ubiquity problem. Veeey slow. The installation program accepts my language, my keyboad an ask me whatt to do with partitions and grub. I enter a new ext4 partition for ubuntu and I set /dev/sda1 for grub2 since my dell xps 8500 has a separate uefi partition.
Former attempts to install grub 2 in sda were successful but the Grubmenu had odd entries and each time i choose some entry for Windows 8 (preinstalled) caused an ubuntu - only system. Windows 8 is lost. I need dual boot windows 8 - ubuntu. I have had no problems with old 32 bit systems without secure boot and uefi, but now I must learn how to do.
Can i have my dual boot again?
what is the correct target for grub 2?
Please help.
