Version 2.3.5 of unixODBC library was released in 2018-01-02.

Is there any chance it would be included in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?

This new release contains many bug-fixes and improvements from the
previous version (2.3.4) which was released in 2015.

The complete list of bug-fixes and improvements is too long to fit here,
please visit the unixODBC website (  http://www.unixodbc.org/ ) to check
them.
