One of our changes is

Disable brltty.service by default, but enable it if the user configures
Braille at install time for a non-USB display

  BRLTTY 5.5 was published in April 2017. It comes with several fixes
  and support of new braille devices.

  Could it be possible to upload it for Ubuntu 18.04 ?
