Title:
"ls" command doesn't show correctly unicode characters
Status in netkit-ftp package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
When connected to a server with "ftp" I make an "ls", it doesn't show
correctly the characters that have accents and other punctuation
symbols (for example "á", "à", "ú", "ï", etc.). Instead of any of
these symbols, it shows "??".
Example of what happens:
myuser at mycomputer:~$ ftp localhost
Connected to localhost.

Name (localhost:myuser):

I'm using Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (package version 0.17-19build1). I've
tried it both in i386 and amd64 architectures. I've also tried
installing the "ftp" package from Maverick (package version 0.17-23),
but it doesn't work, either.
