[Bug 1789407] [NEW] the installation crashes

Public bug reported:

during the installation on the entire hard disk, after configuration of
language, name and type of inst., the installation crashes on GRUB. I
have used a pendrive usb for installation, the release is Ubuntu Mate
18.4 LTS
