  ubuntu installation unsuccessful with 18.04 as "erase and install"

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I don't know what happened, but after I selected erase and install I
  left the computer for a while. When I came back it showed an error
  that the grub installation didn't work. Further in the process it
  generated a bug report that said that Ubiquity had a problem. Still I
  don't know if that is related.
