"Work-around":
1. Boot to another OS on the computer
2. sudo mv /target/@/* /target
3. sudo update-grub2

This results in a workable OS.

Bug description:
  Installer crashes on primary partition. This is the same installation
  procedure used also with previous versions and on the so called
  "invalid" #1756962, now with a brand new installation medium. Guess
  what, it still crashes.
