I agree with the comments in the above linked upstream bug report.

If the volume label is "MYDATA" and this can only be read after the
bitlocker encryption password is entered then this is working as
designed.

Note that the libparted library read the GPT **partition name** as "Ba".
This would be the value seen in the GUID Partition Table, and is
separate from the volume label which is stored within the encrypted
bitlocker file system.

  gparted displays a name which is not correct. The partition is named
  MYDATA once you mount it with Windows 10. gparted displays it as "Ba".
