Your EFI system partition is corrupt; you will need to repair it with
either dosfsck or Windows' chkdsk/scandisk.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Invalid

Title:
  Installation failed: unable to install grub in /dev/sda

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  New laptop with Windows 10 preinstalled. I created a partition and
  installed Ubuntu 16.04 as dual-boot which worked, until Windows 10 ran
  some updates and I lost the boot menu. So I cleared the partition,
  and now every time I try to reinstall Ubuntu desktop it fails when
  trying to create the GRUB menu and I can not continue.
