What behavior to expect apport to exhibit? Crash reports for stable
releases are sent to the Ubuntu Error Tracker and no user interaction is
required to send the reports there.  One way to test apport would be to
perform the following in a terminal.

'xeyes &; pkill -11 xeyes'

After running those two commands you should receive an apport dialog
about a crash of the program xeyes.
