This is an Artful Aardvak issue.

I think this has occured due to me running 3 additional PPAs, at least
one of which does not, as yet, have an Artful repository,

The last two deal with the advanced graphics drivers/updates that I
think are causing the issue.

The output from running "sudo apt-get install -f" is:

$ sudo apt-get install -f

Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies... failed.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libgl1-mesa-dri : Depends: libdrm-amdgpu1 (>= 2.4.83+git1709050630.d55d08~gd~a) but 2.4.82-1 is installed
 libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 : Depends: libdrm-amdgpu1:i386 (>= 2.4.83+git1709050630.d55d08~gd~a) but 2.4.82-1 is installed
 mesa-opencl-icd : Depends: libdrm-amdgpu1 (>= 2.4.83+git1709050630.d55d08~gd~a) but 2.4.82-1 is installed
 mesa-va-drivers : Depends: libdrm-amdgpu1 (>= 2.4.83+git1709050630.d55d08~gd~a) but 2.4.82-1 is installed
 mesa-vdpau-drivers : Depends: libdrm-amdgpu1 (>= 2.4.83+git1709050630.d55d08~gd~a) but 2.4.82-1 is installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
