Public bug reported:

I had just reinstalled ubuntu from a live ubuntu 17.04 cd, for which the
iso had been downloaded only about an hour or so before. During the
installation, there was one error, which probably is not related ...
something about being unable to install the grub2 loader ... however,
booting into grub / the os worked fine.
