the relevant error logs attached.  Please do that.

Bug description:
  17.10 is completely uninstallable.

  Every attempt produces Executing 'grub-install dummy' failed.

  Ubuntu cannot be installed. Isn't this a bug that should be fixed and
  not marked as a question?
