After checking the gpsd source page, all generated dbgsym's seem to be

  I see this after executing "apt-get download libgps22-dbgsym":
  a file libgps22-dbgsym_3.16-4_amd64.ddeb with the right size and hash. It is empty:

  dpkg -c libgps22-dbgsym_3.16-4_amd64.ddeb

  drwxrwxr-x root/root         0 2016-11-04 23:35 ./

  I would like it to contain the debug symbols for libgps.so

  I would like the automated tools to not create empty debug packages
