I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and I'm seeing the same thing.
ProcCmdline
/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -core :0 -seat seat0 -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0 -nolisten tcp vt7 -novtswitch
UnreportableReason:
This problem report is damaged and cannot be processed.
OSError('Invalid core dump: BFD: Warning: /tmp/apport_core_k0d5b924 is truncated: expected core file size >=72568832, found: 23134208.')
I started getting this only after upgrading kernel to HWE (kernel 4.8). Before there were no issues.
Hope this helps iron out the bug.

Title:
Bug report corrupted and broken?
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I tried to search from the Ubuntu Software Center, and USC quit on its
own, and Ubuntu asked me to report the bug. When I tried to collect
and send the report, this is the error code I got, telling me the bug
report was "corrupted":
OSError('Invalid core dump: BFD: Warning: /tmp/apport_core_k0d_6whr is
truncated: expected core file size >= 244244480, found: 133234688.',)
