I wanted to use the entire disk.  I also wanted to control the different
partition sizes, away from default values. That part is not very
friendly. I got the install installed and working, using bios mode
install.

  have multiple disks. no other OS present. just multiple disks. 
  installing to boot off /dev/sdg  unable to write MBR.
