  Grub Failed to Install

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I tried installing Xubuntu over an existing Xubuntu install. By
  default it tried to install grub to SDA, even though I need it
  installed on SDE. When I tried selecting SDE when it crashed, it
  refused to install to SDE either.
