Didn't remember this issue. Actually I'm now using full parameter as
auto-install/enable=true, and it has been working for a long time now.
But if would be glad if at least current preseed documentation mentioned
the fact

Bug description:
  Using auto=true as boot parameter, raises the question to fill
  console-setup/codeset, and also requires to specify debian-
  installer/keymap as boot parameter
