Canonical considers to rebase on 2.26 provided there are no regressions

Status in glibc package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Power 9 systems has following the IEEE 128-bit floating-point support
  and the glibc has this feature will be available in glibc 2.26, to be
  released at 07/31/2017.

  Our request is to have the glibc version >=2.26 in Ubuntu 17.10.
