  CPU:       Quad core Intel Core i7-3770 CPU (-HT-MCP-) clocked at 3776.921 MHz 
  Graphics:  Card: Intel Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller 
             X.Org: 1.15.1 drivers: intel (unloaded: fbdev,vesa) Resolution: 1920x1080 at 60.0hz, 1920x1080 at 60.0hz 
             GLX Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel Ivybridge Desktop GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 10.1.3
  Network:   Card: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller driver: r8169 

  I keep getting the same error when trying to install any kernel on my
  17.2 Rafaela. The error happens regardless of how I try to install the
  kernel; manual install or install attempted through Update Manager
  both end up with the same error:

  My Rafaela was installed cleanly, it was not an upgrade.
