That usually happens if your installation media is corrupted. So always
check the checksums after downloading an image. Closing as invalid.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: debian-installer

  I try to install ubuntu 10.10 and dont work, stop before to menu to
  install. Type in my screen "Initializing gfx code ... " and nothing
  more. :S My computer is a toshiba Satelitte L20-101
