i am having the same issue with grub2 my set up is
Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2 GHz
8 GB of ram (6.94 usable)

I was trying to install the Final Beta of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The
installer crashed while trying to install package `grub2'. I do not
know if I can reboot into the computer.
