[Bug 1708591] [NEW] Grub Installation crashes (clean Ubuntu install)

I am not sure whether this is a bug rather than an incorrect setup for
my drives. I selected ext4 partitions for /, /home and /usr and another
ext4 partition for /boot. The installation proceeded successfully up to
the grub-installer package.
