This shows that you are upgrading the shim-signed package on a system
which has dkms modules installed, and the upgrade was done non-
interactively, so was not able to show you the necessary prompts about
disabling secureboot in this configuration.

You should be able to correct this error by running 'sudo apt -f
install' from a terminal.

If you are unable to read pdf documents, that is unrelated to this
package upgrade bug.  You may wish to file a separate bug report, or
better, ask for help in one of the Ubuntu support forums.
