Title:
  installing Google Chrome (downloaded) from Ubuntu Software as the
  package installer doesn't do anything

Status in shim-signed package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:

  Summary:

  Upon Downloading Google Chrome browser, and installing it, leads to
  Ubuntu software facilitating in installing the software, which upon
  clicking the install button leads to nothing?

  Reason for this issue:

  Ref to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ZestyZapus/ReleaseNotes under title
  Ubuntu Desktop.

  Due to the above reason, if you try to install using non-interactive
  method, using CLI (console/terminal), you will receive the following
  error message.

  Error Message:

   $ sudo dpkg -i *.deb
  Selecting previously unselected package google-chrome-stable.

    Package libpango1.0-0 is not installed.
   google-chrome-stable depends on libappindicator1; however:
    Package libappindicator1 is not installed.

  Errors were encountered while processing:
   google-chrome-stable

  What i expected to happen:
  To be able to install Google Chrome without any issue, its not like i have to go to console to find out why upon clicking the install button that nothing happens. Why is Ubuntu software so dumb.

  Solution:

  Install synaptic & install gconf
