[Bug 1169888] Re: Buggy and old Debian translations takes preference over correct D-I translations from launchpad.net in the debian-installer templates

Other packages typically do that via language packs, but those aren't
usable in the installer. Maintaining ongoing deltas to source packages
is much harder work than having translations added in bulk via language
packs.

In the years that have passed since my last comment, the corrections
could have been forwarded to Debian and would by now be in Ubuntu.

Bug description:
I've noticed, that Ubiquity sometimes shows buggy and old translations
from Debian instead of corrected translations from launchpad.net in
  the debian-installer templates :(

For example "Mount point" was incorrectly translated in Lithuanian Debian D-I translation, I've fixed this translation 6 years ago, but Ubiquity still displays old incorrect translation "Prijungimo taškas", see
  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/+source/debian-installer/+pots/debian-installer/lt/706/+translate

Please fix this problem before Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring) release.
