We're not going to force everyone to go back to using the ugly old vga
text console and all of the screen flickering associated with that just
to get rid of an annoying message from nvidia's silly proprietary
driver. At most, the driver should make this change when it is
installed.

Title:
Please silence this NVRM message
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
With the ubuntu grub2 default config, this message is logged into
journalctl:
kernel: NVRM: Your system is not currently configured to drive a VGA console
kernel: NVRM: on the primary VGA device. The NVIDIA Linux graphics driver
kernel: NVRM: requires the use of a text-mode VGA console. Use of other console
kernel: NVRM: drivers including, but not limited to, vesafb, may result in
kernel: NVRM: corruption and stability problems, and is not supported.
It is uselessly scarying users; and a /etc/default/grub tweak can
remove them:
change the default #GRUB_TERMINAL=console to GRUB_TERMINAL=console
This happen with a nvidia driver on a non uefi old mobo. Nvidia should have solved this issue, but still exist, as explained with that uefi example:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/827139/linux/uefi-nvidia-vga-console-complaints-/1
Awaiting a nvidia fix that never comes, the best solution for now is
to silence this message.
If that message is not being silenced, maybe it should be such
"feature not supported by nvidia; you can set "GRUB_TERMINAL=console"
to get a VGA console.
