Your EFI system partition is corrupt; you will need to repair it with
dosfsck or windows' chkdsk.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)

Title:
GRUB install failed when installing ubuntu

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I was trying to install Ubuntu on a partition on my SSD. I used
GParted to format it as ext4. Then, during the install process, I
formatted as ext4, using / as the mount point. The installation
eventually failed, saying that GRUB-install failed, a fatal error,
which halts installation. It seems to happen every time I attempt
  installation.
