One can inspect, activate/disactive drives in the provided shell using
lszdev & chzdev commands. Installer, is environment for installation,
not general tasks. Deactivating a drive is a minor feature request.
Setting appropriate targets.

Within the "Configure direct access storage devices (DASD)" menu,

  Requirement:
It should be possible to de-select items, if one or more DADS could be selected.

Test case: After selection of one or more DASDs in the "Configure
direct access storage devices (DASD)" menu, there is no way to de-
  select them.
