This bug was fixed in the package syslinux - 3:6.03+dfsg-13

syslinux (3:6.03+dfsg-13) unstable; urgency=medium

  * QA upload.
  * Fix FTBFS when GCC configured with --enable-default-pie. (LP: #1579023)
  * Fix typo in short description: 9960 vs 9660. Closes: #802230

Bug description:
  Syslinux FTBFS on yakkety amd64, i386 builds fine.
  Previous version of syslinux (3:6.03+dfsg-11ubuntu1) now fails to build in the same way.
  Downgrading nasm to 2.11.08-1 had no effect either.
