  Russian breaks langsel drop down

Status in language-selector package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-bin

  after russian language support install it is not possible to change
  menu language back to english thru system/administration/Language
  support as there only option is russian.  uninstalling russian causes
  messages about incomplete language support. Also russian support is
  too aggressive - it changes all the programs to russian without
  warning.
