Title:
"The installer encountered an unrecoverable error" message when
booting
Status in Ubuntu GNOME:
New
Status in syslinux package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I downloaded the Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 Beta 2 http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/ubuntu-gnome/daily-live/20160322/xenial-desktop-i386.iso image,
launched it in a VM, waited, got to a black screen where my mouse was
visible and then got this:
Testing_Case_Installation_Failed.png
When I clicked "OK" and it took me to the desktop session it promised
I was not able to launch Terminal through any means (keyboard shortcut
and Activities Overview). I had to collect the information for this
report using a TTY which I luckily was able switch to. Though I found
that other applications such as apport and Firefox would run.
