[Bug 1595585] [NEW] installer crash directly prior to creation of bootloader (could not create bootloader on the selected partition)

Public bug reported:

installation proceeded normally until it tried to install grub on the
boot partition (dual boot, running w10 pro). At that point it failed,
then told me to pick between cancel and 'dont try', but when I selected
dont try, it gave another error, then asked to file this bug report.
