There are no mirror servers for ppc, so there are no choices.  I've now
modified software-properties-gtk not to display the "Other..." option
which then launches the mirror choice dialog so you should no longer
encounter this bug.

  Tried to select a mirror server on my Ubuntu MATE 16.04, ppc install
  (PowerBook 5,8), which did not work. The list is empty. If I click on
  "Bester Server auswählen" I get an error box "Es wurde kein passender
  Spiegelserver gefunden. Bitte überprüfen Sie Ihre Internet-
  Verbindung."
