Title:
Installation of xubuntu 16.04 from live cd hangs trying to reuse
already existing swap partition
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I tried to install xubuntu 16.04. It took me about 2 hours!!! because
of multiple errors I found in the GUI installation process. Because I
wanted to install on already partitioned drive I choose advance path.
Reproduce
1) Run xubuntu live cd,
2) When OS will load all GUI push install xubuntu icon
3) Select Advance method (I wanted to reuse already existing partitions)
4) Select to reuse swap partition (which is on LVM volume).
5) I tried to continue installation but then dialog appeared with this kind of message: 'Can't initiate swap drive'. There was 'OK' button on that dialog but pressing it didn't closed the dialog and I could not continue with the installation.
To install I had to install without swap (warning message appeared).
Later I had to spend some time after installation to setup swap
correctly.
