What have you repaired and how?

If you can boot Ubuntu in Legacy mode, then it is likely installed
correctly, but in Legacy mode (the way you boot the install media
matters to get it installed in EFI or legacy mode).

What are you seeing on screen when you try to boot to Ubuntu? Could you
please attach a picture of what is on screen or otherwise describe what
happens when you try to boot?

  recovering from grub rescue

Status in shim package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  i have repaired from boot loader, after that i could not able to enter
  into ubuntu. Instead it is showing me a 'grub rescue' command. I have
  a pre installed Windows 8 with UEFI but I could able to run my newly
  installed ubuntu 14 in Legacy mode. But now, ubuntu is not even
  loading..
