Public bug reported:

not sure where imagemagick came from.  clean install.  first reboot
produced many unconfigured items and unprocessed triggers.  ran dpkg and
cleaned up most of it except for image magick.  removed using synaptic.
seems you want to discourage use of synaptic or you'd leave it in new
installs.
