Lubuntu 14.04.4, new install:

1. I manually and individually removed abiword, gnumeric, mtpaint, pidgin and audacious. E.g., "sudo apt-get remove abiword", etc.

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
While some of these packages are, in fact, no longer needed, execution

Essentially the same bug as the unresolved #1549310
