Title:
  grub-installer didn't even run, let alone install anything

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub-installer

  Installation report:

  Ubuntu Studio i386 Alternate:

  Installation appeared to run normally at the very end, but grub-
  installer never ran, or prompted to run to install the bootloader. On
  the reboot, there is no grub on hd0. During installation, when tasksel
  came up, I selected Installation options were use the entire disk. One
  IDE disk, tested in QEMU. Installing grub manually resolved the issue.
  Casper was not installed.  Installation logs attached.
