I have tried to resolve the problem by taking the source files from the
Oracle mySQL site and compiling them. Then installing the .so file. The
error messages disappear but asterisk seem to be unstable and frequently
crashes.

  I'm trying to use asterisk 13.7 which needs libmyodbc.so

  I can't install it:
  sudo apt-get install libmyodbc
