Title:
Occasional errors with "dup: Bad file descriptor"
Status in fwupdate package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
There has occasionally been this error coming up when working with
fwupdate and friends:
"dup: Bad file descriptor"
This doesn't happen reliably, it seems that calling a second or third
time or rebooting first will tend to fix it.
Upstream has indicated this userspace commit should resolve the
problem:
https://github.com/rhinstaller/fwupdate/commit/91cb275c1bec0da0c61038892d980f1505e0ce3f
