Dan,

It seems to me that everything I buy or own that doesn't say Linux on it
does not work.
This is a new OS for me, working on it only six months, Ubuntu 14.04 OS is
installed on a Lenovo Thinkserver, this server did not come with a sound
card, so unknowingly I bought a Diamond xs7.1 PCI sound card, but the
software disc does not load no matter how many times I have tried.
The Sony playmemories disc will not load or install either, this is
software for the Sony camcorder I own, and that won't work.
The HP Laserjet 1018 won't work at times, it looses the driver and won't
accept the disc I have for that, I have no idea why. I did download the
driver from the software package from the software centre that Ubuntu 14.04
has, but the memory forgets the driver, so I have to uninstall and
reinstall every time it won't work, are these bugs? It seems to me that
they are, but I don't know.
Have any reasons or solutions?
Thanks for your help.

Joe
