Title:
  grub-mkdevicemap hangs

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  It seems that grub-mkdevicemap becomes a zombie, even a kill -9 $(pgrep grub-mkdevicemap) doesn't work.
  After reboot and dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc it hangs again

  Cchanged line 1 of /var/lib/dpkg/info/grub-pc.postinst to:
    #!/bin/bash -ex

  as root starting grub-pc.postinst and logged the output
    ~#  /var/lib/dpkg/info/grub-pc.postinst configure 2>&1 |tee /tmp/grub-pc.postinst.log
