Title:
packgekit crash soon after install bcmwl-kernel-source from additional
drivers
Status in packagekit package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
To reproduce was on a live session of lubuntu yakkety yak. I opened
the additonal drivers tab of software and updates and installed bcmwl
kernel source so I could remove my bulky usb one for the rest of the
live session then apport appeared saying packegkit has crashed.
Description: Ubuntu Yakkety Yak (development branch)
Release: 16.10
packagekit:
Installed: 0.8.17-4ubuntu6~gcc5.4ubuntu2
Candidate: 0.8.17-4ubuntu6~gcc5.4ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 0.8.17-4ubuntu6~gcc5.4ubuntu2 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu yakkety/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
I expected the driver to install with nothing crashing. Instead this
had a crash and apport came up.
