Bug description:
Computer locked up on PCH contest games
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04LTS
I expected it to continue running
Instead the computer locked up
By this I mean nothing on the screen worked (no cursor/keyboard failed/etc.)
Then the only solution left to me was to unplug the computer, since this isn't Windows
Once the computer was plugged in again, it booted into Ubuntu 16.04LTS (which I myself believe is a VERY bogus rating on Ubuntu's part as generally there is a beta version at the beginning of a year, followed by a LTS version, which generally has a different number, but also includes the year 16.14LTS (at the end of the year).
I've no attachment - you can look it up at PCH.com - it was before
getting to the final series of 'games' - just before going to the
"safe" which is usual the last step on one's daily basis. I was also
running Firefox on top of Ubuntu, which I do because Firefox has a
viable support for Adobe Reader and Ubuntu only claims to have a
viable (functional) copy of Adobe, which so far Mozilla has locked up
when attempting to install from Google Plus - probably normal,
right...
Also this is on a Dell Optiplex 960 computer with a 1TB drive and is
running BOINC in the background all the time - I also have the cooling
fans locked on 'max' on it because it seems to be more reliable when
doing so (could be wrong)...
I was also running Chromium for my browser (Google Chrome browser -
red/yellow/green instead of shades of blue).
I've no idea
