Title:
ubuntu-bug misdetects binary package hints and uses source instead
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
The Binary Package Hint: created by this version of ubuntu-bug (or
apport) is wrong and identical to the source package. To verify this,
install a binary package where the source package name is different
(for instance, courier-authdaemon), and report a bug against a file of
that binary package. See how the Binary Package Hint: contains the
_source_, rather than the _binary_ package name.
This causes additional burdens on developers reading bug reports,
because they need to figure out which binary package is affected.
