After implementing the changes of LTC bug 139323 (LP 1559193) I wanted to install a system on SCSI LUNs. However, it dropped into the disk-detect menu, without asking for zfcp device initialization. Obviously some of the changes are breaking the installation now.

  Apr 1 12:25:45 main-menu[328]: INFO: Menu item 'partman-base' selected

  Installer version 443, s390-zfcp 1.0.0ubuntu1.

It happens, when DASDs are available and activated, available and not
activated and when no DASDs are available.

Attaching /var/log/syslog of the case without DASDs.
