[Bug 1482867] Re: Crashes when installing boot loader

You tried to install grub to your primary hard disk ( /dev/sda ), which
is partitioned using GPT, but you do not have an EFI system. This is
only possible if you create a 1 mb bios_grub partition on that drive.
As an alternative, you can choose to install grub to one of your other
drives that is partitioned using dos/mbr and make sure your bios is set
to boot from that drive.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  Crashes when installing boot loader

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  The failure to install the boot loader appears on both 14.04.3 and
  15.04. There has been no problems previously, so the problem might be
  a failed hard drive (I'm speculating here).
