Public bug reported:

1) Xubuntu 14.04 LTS amd64 Live (on USB)
2) Packed grub version in this ISO
3) The bootloader is installed sucessfully
4) Only the files are extracted, the system is not bootable

With the same configuration I already installed the System the same way. Unfortunatly I tried to upgrade to 15.04, but the upgrade failed.
Now I try to reinstall the System (14.04) to make my notebook usable again, but I don't want to loose the data on 2 Partitions at the end of the HDD (1 is home, 1 is steam library).

Install Settings:
Lang: English
Keyboard: German
Install thirdparty tools

HDD: (1TB Space) (using "Something else")
/dev/sdb (GPT)
 1 MB free
256 MiB sdb1 efi boot partition (Selected for bootloader)
256 MiB sdb2 reserved bios boot area
 535 MiB free
 64 GiB ext4 (mounted at / )
 271134 MB free
 100 GiB sdb7 ext4 (not mounted)
250 GiB sdb6 ext4 (steam library not mounted)
200 GiB sdb5 ext4 (home partition, mounted at /home not encrypted)
 64 GiB sdb3 SWAP
