I verified the sha256sum of the kubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso, it's
fine.
The iso isn't burnt to CD/DVD it's been put on a usb using usb-creator-
gtk.
Booting the USB and using it's self check (i.e typing "check" at the
initial "boot: " prompt) checks all the files and confirms "Check
finished: no errors found".
I'm unable to perform the check at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck (because
of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usb-creator/+bug/1325801 )
, but I believe it's the same as running "check" manually(?).

Title:
Can't use crypto in manual disk setup Kubuntu 15.10
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Selecting "Manual" under disk setup if I add a "/boot" and then create
the next partition as "physical volume for encryption" I'm then given
no way to use that volume (i.e formatting and setting up the
passphrase so I can put LVM or FS on it). See crypto-no-usable-
options.png.
None of the available buttons on the screen do anything useful at this
point and additionally it's very easy to accidentally trigger #1510730
while looking for some way to apply the layout.
Basically there doesn't seem to be any way to do custom layouts using
crypto in ubiquity currently.
